Taking laser welding to a higher level of precision and productivity

AMADA is the technology leader in fibre laser welding cells. The FLW-ENSISe welding cell has many features that make it unique in terms of welding quality, welding speed and productivity. The basic configuration of the cell consists of AMADA’s own fibre laser engine, a 6-axis robot on a linear carriageway, a turn and tilt table and an active safety cabin. Depending on the expansion level, additional, useful features can be added.

VARIABLE BEAM CONTROL TECHNOLOGY

Laser welding often requires individual adjustment of the laser beam to perfectly match the respective task. AMADA’s Variable Beam Control allows unique results for all weldable material types and material thicknesses. Only by using AMADA’s original fibre laser engine was the use of Variable Beam Control made possible.

BEAM WEAVING

AMADA’s unique beam weaving function not only enables the bridging of larger gaps, but at the same time allows higher welding speeds with significantly better welding quality.

AI-TAS

The Teaching Assistant System has been improved thanks to the application of AI processes to automatically determine weld gap locations and any required robot adjustments. The operator no longer has to manually check each weld start / end point, drastically increasing machine uptime and productivity.

AMNC 4ie CONTROL

AMADA developed the latest NC control to help solve some of today's manufac-
turing issues, such as the lack of skilled operators and increased costs. The new control is easy to use (incorporating facial recognition and language setting) and allows faster setup to increase productivity.

TWIN CHANGEOVER TABLES

The FLW-ENSISe M5 model features twin changeover tables which allows the next job to be set up outside the processing area. This significantly improves productivity and efficiency of the entire welding cell.

AMADA ORIGINAL WELDING HEAD

The use of AMADA’s own welding head, which is perfectly adapted to the performance characteristics of the system, allows the optimal use of all special features of the FLW-ENSISe. This leads to a clear competitive advantage for our customers.

Hotspots

BEAM WEAVING:

This unique system rotates the actual laser beam using a weaving lens, rather than relying on a rotational motion of the robot, to allow much wider gaps to be cleanly welded. This results in much smoother, consistent welds and a higher quality part.

CHOICE OF POWERS:

The FLW-ENSISe solution can be supplied with 3kW or 6kW of welding power to provide the most suitable level of welding capability for your production

WELDING WIRE FEED:

For certain tasks, the supply of welding wire can be activated at any time. This can be varied even within a part and also helps to bridge larger gaps, which cannot be covered even by the beam weaving process.
