Collisions are detected instantly

The auto head collision recovery system has the ability to instantly detect a collision with a tipped part, raise the cutting head to avoid damage and realign itself. The range of movement possible has been doubled compared to previous systems.

Depending on the speed at the time of the collision, the machine will do one of two functions:

1. Check and change the nozzle, centre the laser beam to the nozzle, check the head calibration, check the lens protection glass then resume cutting at the next profile
2. Stop the cutting process with an alarm. If this second function is activated, the operator can check the cutting head, remove the part causing the collision and then activate the i-Nozzle Checker and i-Optics systems, allowing cutting to then continue at the next profile.
