AMADA continues to grow and expand in Europe. From its early days back in 1946 to more recently, the company has been busy establishing presence that can only be described as impressive, innovative and unique. AMADA’s main mission is to ensure customer satisfaction, and through some recent changes, this has been maintained through commitment in Europe by opening 4 new facilities, in the last 12 months. This step has already allowed AMADA to reach out to customers on a whole new level and keep up with consistency. AMADA continues to invest in new facilities, such as expanded manufacturing plants, and technical centres for customers, showcasing new products and providing after-sale support. These investments help AMADA meet the increasing demand for advanced machinery, whilst ensuring environmental impact is kept low.
Based in Piacenza, just south of Milan, AMADA’s centre of excellence for welding has been created to allow customers to experience all the latest welding technology. It serves as a base for sales activities, focusing on the demonstration and verification of welding processing technologies, therefore contributing to the expansion of the welding business. In this new Technical Centre in Italy, European customers will not only get to see the welding technology portfolio but also have the opportunity to work on joint developments. AMADA is determined to cover a large number of the different processes involved in the manufacturing chain becoming a single-source supplier. This is yet another way of showing Europe that AMADA is very committed in this space and growth will be ongoing.
The AMADA Automation Europe Facility has invested heavily in new state-of-the-art technology, to increase both productivity and environmental sustainability. Through this project, AAE achieved its long-term goal of carbon-neutral production while also increasing the factory's efficiency and capacity. This facility serves as a testing ground for AMADA’s most advanced products, allowing for improved development and optimisation before they are released to the market. To make things even more exciting, the project has included four sub-projects; a new logistics centre, an extended assembly hall, a new paint shop and a new office. AAE is described as unique and best in the world by AMADA, and the opening of the factory highlights AMADA’s ongoing efforts to innovate and meet the evolving demands of the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
AMADA launched a new service company called AMADA Service Europe (ASE), which is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance customer support and the overall service experience across Europe. After 10 years of expanding the market and building a solid customer base, a turnover of DKK 90 million was achieved with a local team of 20 employees. Due to the continued efforts of the Danish team, the business has reached a level where a new building was needed to keep up with the fast growth. The Denmark building opened in January 2024 and reflects AMADA’s high-tech brand and at the same time demonstrates the commitment to reducing impact on the environment and society. In line with the group commitment to reduce the environmental impact by 50% by 2030, the new headquarters and offices include automatic LED lighting, solar panels, efficient HVAC, improved waste management and electric vehicle charging stations.
