The ACIES-AJ is the most advanced technology for punch/laser combination machines. Equipped with a 3 kW AMADA fibre engine, a 30 ton electric punching system and an automatic tool changer that holds up to 300 punches and 600 dies, the ACIES-AJ guarantees the utmost productivity and flexibility.

AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER

The automatic tool changer considerably reduces machine downtimes. Plus, having 2 different dies associated with a single punch means that a wide range of thicknesses can be processed.

TOOL IDENTIFICATION

Digital tool management based on Barcode 2D technology prevents any installation errors. Punch identification also means punches can be kept in optimal conditions and processing quality can be improved.

SCRATCH - PREVENTING ZR TURRET

AMADA'S ongoing research in punching has led to the development of a punching system that does not scratch the sheet metal. The lower ZR turret is entirely covered by a brush table and the required die is raised through the table by an electrical system only when it is actually used for processing.

AMADA FIBRE LASER ENGINE

AMADA was the first laser machine manufacturer worldwide to develop its own fibre laser engine in-house, specifically designed for cutting. The ACIES-AJ has a 3 kW fibre engine for a performance 3.3 times greater compared to CO₂ technology and up to 70% less electricity, for high quality processing at very low costs.

SAFETY COVER

The special ergonomics of the fibre laser beam protection system enable manual and automatic load / unload operations without having to remove or open the safety cover.

INDEPENDENT LASER Y AXIS

During the punching phase, the laser cutting axis is fully isolated from the punching unit structure, avoiding vibrations that could damage the laser cutting head. This is achieved using a unique, independent laser Y axis.

AUTOMATIC NOZZLE CHANGER:

To ensure continuous, automatic machine operation, the ACIES-AJ has a 4-station nozzle change system which includes a head calibration and nozzle cleaning unit.

TOOL STORAGE UNIT (TSU):

The TSU stores and automatically handles tools for the turret. This solution enables lengthy and continual processing cycles.

UNLOADING WORKCHUTE:

The large workchute (400 x 1550 mm) ensures the utmost efficiency in processing by allowing the elimination of micro-joints and easy removal of the part.
